Ethan Buckhardt

Tom is a member in good standing of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors and is an Approved Inspector of the Federal Housing Authority. Tom has an extensive construction background that includes renovating, designing, and building several homes. Having conducted thousands of home inspections, he prides himself on his extensive knowledge and his dedication to excellent customer service. Given his experience, Tom brings much more to the table than just proper construction techniques. He has been in the business long enough to have seen once highly touted products like polybutylene piping and synthetic stucco turn out to be disastrous, causing hundreds of millions in damages and becoming banned from use, and he is committed to ensuring that materials in your home are up to date and up to standard. Tom's appointment hours are flexible and include weekends. 

B&A is a family owned and operated business that has been serving Arizona since 2004. Tom Buckhardt founded B&A after leaving the Property and Casualty Insurance business after 25 years of service, and was joined by his son, Ethan, in 2020​. During his time in insurance, Tom was involved in many types of claims all over the United States from faulty deck designs to damage caused by major catastrophes like hurricane Katrina, and witnessed firsthand what happens when contractors either don’t know or don’t care how they complete their work. Influenced by this, Tom became dedicated to making folks aware of current problems in their home and helping them to take preventative measures to avoid costly future repairs as he transitioned into the home inspection industry. The inspectors of B&A understand that your home is the single largest investment you may ever make, and are passionate about protecting that investment so you can make a lifetime of memories in your home.

Ethan, an Arizona native, has been involved in family construction endeavors since childhood. Before following in his father's footsteps and joining the family business, he assisted Tom in a variety of construction projects, gaining detailed knowledge on home structure and building materials. After attending PVCC and NAU, these experiences inspired him to become a certified home inspector licensed by the state of Arizona. He has been with B&A since 2020.
